Date TBA – Training: ‘Successfully coping with resistance’

Change is the new constant in today’s business operations. Teams are constantly confronted with the implementation of new systems, processes and working methods. In addition, the introduction of hybrid working has had a huge impact on the functioning of the modern organization.

Change is not an event, it’s a process. A change process requires targeted guidance. Most of the resistance in the organization comes from the perception that the employees will lose comfort. It is therefore necessary to link the cause of the change to a clear external factor. Managing this change process and the resistance that comes with it is the key to the success of FM projects.

Approach
This course offers a number of very pragmatic, practice-oriented and manageable insights and methodologies that can be immediately applied by facility managers and project managers. Scientific insights are interspersed with case studies, questionnaires and a role play in order to achieve an exchange of inspiration and best practices. The emphasis is on setting up communication and knowledge exchange combined with developing a clear insight into the potential personal evolution of the participants.

  2. Understanding the psychological processes at work during change
  3. Recognizing the key success factors in change projects,
  4. Understand and correctly apply the methodology and tools related to change management while avoiding the most common pitfalls,
  5. Facilitating the implementation of the change, managing the resistance and emotions and building a buy-in.
  6. Dealing with user behavior, changing behavior

Trainer
Anton Maes is an organizational psychologist and expert in change management and strategic workplace development. He has a background as a communications specialist and in recent years has developed customized workplace concepts for both large companies and the government. In doing so, he focuses mainly on understanding and adjusting user behavior. Anton attaches great importance to an evidence-based approach and this translates into contacts with universities, colleges and research centers. He is an enthusiastic speaker and experienced teacher. Since 2010 he has been the driving force behind the consultancy company brainmove, which has guided numerous large organizations towards a new working environment coupled with a different way of working. Anton is an experienced lecturer, keynote speaker and author. He is a member of the board of IFMA Belgium, WEHub leader in Belgium and Prosci certified change manager.
